USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Check that all the accessories are included and that the appliance is undamaged.
• Fill with fresh water to the MAX mark, start the appliance and allow the water to run through
without adding coffee. Pour out the water. Repeat several times.
• Wash all loose parts thoroughly with hot water.
USE
WARNING:
• Parts of the appliance get very hot when in use – risk of burn injuries and/or scalding.
• The newly brewed coffee is hot – risk of scalding.
NOTE:
• The volume of brewed coffee is slightly less that the volume of the added water, because the
coffee powder absorbs some of the water.
• Coffee tastes best immediately after brewing. Serve freshly brewed coffee for the best taste.
• Small drops of oil on the surface of the brewed coffee come from oils in the coffee. You may
notice them after brewing very dark roast coffee.
• Store coffee powder in a dry and cool place. Close the packet properly, and store in the fridge for
best shelf life.
• For optimum coffee taste, use whole coffee beans and grind them just before brewing.
• Never brew coffee more than once with the same coffee powder. It is not advisable to warm up
coffee that has gone cold.
1.
Open the lid and fill the pot with cold fresh water. Do not fill above the MAX mark on the
level indicator.
2.
Put the funnel in the funnel holder and then put a filter in the funnel.
3.
Fill coffee in the filter. As a rule one level tablespoon per cup.
4.
Click the holder in place.
5.
Put the pot on the hob.
– The pot can only be removed for up to 30 seconds during the brewing without coffee
dripping from the filter. If the pot is not replaced within 30 seconds the coffee will
overflow in the funnel.
6.
Plug the plug into the mains.
7.
When you press the power switch the status lamp goes on. The brewing starts.
