• Clean the air filter. Replace it when necessary.
• Check whether the guards are damaged or cracked. Replace the guards if they are damaged
or cracked.
• Check that the blades are not damaged or cracked. Replace the blades when necessary.
• Check that all nuts and screws are tightened.
Weekly maintenance
• Check the start motor, pull cord and return spring.
• Check that the vibration absorbers are not damaged.
• Check the outer surface of the spark plug. Remove the spark plug and check the electrode gap.
Adjust the electrode gap to 0.5 mm or replace the spark plug.
• Clean or replace the spark guard on the silencer.
• Clean the area around the carburettor.
• Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder and check that the air inlet for the start motor is not
blocked.
• Clean the air filter.
Monthly maintenance
• Clean the fuel tank with petrol.
• Clean the carburettor and the area around it.
• Check the fuel filter and fuel line. Replace them when necessary.
• Check all cables and connections.
• Replace spark plug.
Storage
• Do not store the hedge cutter in an enclosed space where fuel vapours can come into contact
with naked flames. Store the hedge cutter in a locked and well-ventilated area.
• Empty the fuel tank and carburettor, clean the parts, store the hedge cutter in a safe place and
check that the engine has cooled if the hedge cutter is not going to be used for a long time.
