• Always use protective glasses, goggles or full face protection when the machine is running. We
recommend a protective mask with a wide field of vision over protective glasses or goggles.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the working area.
FUEL
NB:
• Do not mix more fuel than you will use over a period of approx. 2 months.
• Empty and clean the fuel tank if the hedge cutter will not be used for a long time.
• Clean around the fuel cap. Dirt in the tank can lead to operating issues.
• Check that the fuel is mixed by shaking the container well before filling up the tank.
• Keep the handles free from oil and fuel.
• Do not smoke while mixing fuel or filling up the tank.
• Do not mix fuel in enclosed spaces or near naked flames. Ensure you have sufficient ventilation.
• Always mix and store the fuel in a marked container which has been approved for such usage in
accordance with applicable regulations.
• Never remove the fuel cap while the engine is running.
• Stop the engine and check that it is cool before you refuel. Never refuel when the engine is
running or is warm.
• Wipe up any fuel spillages and throw the cloths away before starting the engine.
• Mix petrol and oil in a clean container designed to hold petrol.
Petrol
• Use unleaded petrol or high-quality leaded petrol.
• The lowest recommended octane rating is 90. The engine may begin to rattle if you use a petrol
with a lower octane rating than 90. This will lead to an increase in the engine’s temperature. In
turn, this could lead to serious damage to the engine.
2-stroke engine oil
• Mixing Ratio: 1:30 (3%).
• Never use 2-stroke engine oil intended for water-cooled outboard engines.
• Never use oil intended for 4-stroke engines.
1.
Start refuelling with half the petrol needed. Next, fill up with all of the oil.
2.
Mix by shaking the container well. Add the rest of the petrol.
3.
Mix (shake) the fuel mixture carefully before you put it in the hedge cutter.
