Consult your local retailer for pool chemicals for advice on what you need for your pool. Specify the
volume of water in your pool and provide a sample of the pool water, if required. This will enable your
retailer to advise you on:
1.
Which chemicals to use
2.
What quantities to use
3.
How to use them safely and effectively
Never let undissolved chlorine come into direct contact with the pool liner. Granular or tabulated
chlorine must first be dissolved in a bucket of water before adding it to the pool water. Liquid
chlorine must be poured slowly and evenly into the pool from different points around the pool.
WARNING!
Never add water to chemicals. Always add chemicals to water. Never mix different
chemicals. Add them to the pool water separately and allow them to disperse in the water before adding
other chemicals.
We recommend that you purchase a test kit and frequently test the pH and chlorine levels of your
pool water. Your local pool accessories retailer will help you choose a suitable test kit and explain
how to use it. NOTE: The pool liner will become damaged if the chlorine level is too high and the
pH level is too low (acidic water). Restore the balance as soon as possible.
Inspect the filter pump cartridge every two weeks (more often if the pool is used frequently). Clean
it if necessary. If the cartridge is no longer white, try cleaning it with a strong blast of water from a
garden hose. If this does not clean it, replace the cartridge. If the cartridge is not cleaned/replaced
often enough, the performance and life of the filter pump will be adversely affected.
Follow the simple tips below to keep soil and dirt out of the pool.
-
Remind family and friends to always rinse dirt, suntan oil, etc. off their hands, feet and body
before getting into the pool.
-
If your pool has a cover, always use the cover when the pool is not in use. This prevents soil,
leaves, etc. from blowing into the water and prevents rainwater from overfilling the pool.
WARNING!
Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious risk of personal injury, especially to
children.
Emptying, dismantling and storing the pool at the end of the season
Make sure that the filter pump has been unplugged from the mains power supply.
Make sure that the drain plug is firmly in place on the inside of the pool.
1.
Attach the garden hose to the drain connection. Place the other end of the hose in a street gutter,
storm drain etc. where the water can drain away without problem. The end of the hose must be
lower than the drain connection to ensure complete drainage.
2.
Insert the plugs provided in the intake/drain connections on the inside of the pool and disconnect
the filter pump hoses.
3.
Attach the hose adapter to the drain connection by rotating it clockwise.
4.
Open the drain plug on the inside of the pool. The water starts to drain out.
WARNING!
Do not let children stand in front of the water outlet. The water current may cause
injuries.
5.
Disconnect the hose and adapter when the pool is empty.
6.
Refit the drain plug on the inside of the pool.
The pool liner must be completely dry before folding it up for long-term storage. Leave the liner to
dry in the sun for a few hours. This also makes it easier to fold. Never fold the liner until it has dried
completely otherwise mould may form during storage.
Proper storage is essential for prolonging the life of your pool. When it is empty and dry, carefully
fold it up and wrap it in a suitable tarpaulin or other similar protective cover. Store the pool and all
accessories in a dry, sheltered, frost-free place indoors.
