SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
•
Improper use can cause personal injury and/or damage to property.
•
Read all the safety instructions and other instructions.
•
Only use the appliance for its intended purpose. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage
that arises as a result of improper use.
•
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
•
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Immediately unplug the power cord if the
product has fallen into water. Let a qualified service representative examine it before use. Risk of
electric shock or fatal injury.
•
Never open the appliance casing.
•
Never insert any objects into the casing.
•
Do not handle the appliance with wet hands, on damp floors or if it is wet.
•
Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
•
Check the power cord and plug regularly. A damaged power cord must be replaced by an
authorised service representative, or other qualified person, to avoid putting safety at risk.
•
Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, if the appliance has been subject to
impacts or otherwise damaged. Return it to an authorised service representative for inspection and
repair.
•
Never try to repair the appliance yourself - risk of electric shock.
•
Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the
plug.
•
A residual current device with a tripping current of 30 mA should be used as an extra safety
precaution to prevent electric shock. Contact an authorised electrician.
•
Run the power cord to prevent it from being walked on or that it constitutes a tripping hazard, and
so that it cannot be unplugged by mistake.
•
If an extension cord is used, the cross-section of the conductors must be sufficient for the
appliance's power supply. The power cord and/or plug could otherwise overheat.
•
Place the appliance on a sturdy, flat and heat-resistant surface, away from open flames and
inaccessible to children.
•
The appliance is not intended for commercial use or use outdoors.
•
Never leave the appliance switched on unattended.
•
Unplug the power cord before cleaning and when the appliance is not in use.
IMPORTANT:
The appliance is live when the power cord is in.
•
Switch off before pulling out the power cord.
•
Never carry or pull the appliance by the power cord.
•
The mains socket must always be accessible.
•
Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
•
The appliance is not intended to be controlled by an external timer or a separate remote control.
•
The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional
disorder or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or know-how on how to use it, in so
far as they have not received instructions concerning the use of the appliance from someone who
is responsible for their safety.
•
Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
Safety instructions for the battery
•
Store batteries out of the reach of children and pets.
•
Insert the batteries with the correct polarity. Improperly installed batteries can cause damage and
malfunction.
•
Remove spent batteries. Remove batteries when the appliance is not in use for some time - risk of
leakage.
•
Batteries must not be burned. Do not expose the batteries to excessive heat or open flames.
•
Always wash your hands after handling batteries.
•
Waste handling of spent batteries: Spent batteries must be disposed of in accordance with
applicable regulations.
•
Follow all the manufacturer guidelines and safety instructions.
