Hose connection

Screw the provided universal coupling onto the
pump. The universal coupling can be used to
connect hoses with a diameter of 32 mm (5/4"),
25 mm (1"), 19 mm (3/4") or 13 mm (1/3"),
depending on installation conditions. 32

mm

(5/4") hoses are connected to the base of the
universal coupling’s hose nipple. 19 mm (3/4")
and 13 mm (1/2”) hoses are connected to an
appropriate step on the hose nipple. 32 mm
(5/4") and 25 mm (1") hoses should be secured
using a hose clamp.
Parts of the universal coupling not used (when
connecting 32 mm (1/2") hose) are removed with
a knife.
The best flow capacity is achieved with a 32 mm
(5/4") hose.

Setting the float switch

The float switch automatically turns on the pump at water depths around 53 cm and automatically turns
off the pump at a water depth of about 5 cm. You can set the required start and stop levels separately by
moving the float switch’s cable in the clamp.

Position

Make sure that the pump stands firmly, especially if run in automatic mode.

Make sure that the float switch can move freely in automatic mode.

Position the pump so that the inlet openings of the suction base are not completely or partially
blocked. We recommend placing the pump on a brick, for example, to raise it slightly.

Never lift, carry or suspend the pump using the power cord or the float switch cable. Use a rope,
attached to the pump's carrying handle, to lower the pump into a well or spring.

Automatic mode

When the pump is connected to the power supply it turns on automatically at a specific water level (start
level) and turns off when the water level has dropped to the next specified level (stop level).

Manual mode

In manual mode the submersible pump starts when it is connected to the power supply and the float
switch lifts.

MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT!

Always disconnect the power cord from the mains power before working on the pump.

Submersible pumps are virtually maintenance free.

The suction base (6) can be dismantled to clean the pump internally. Unscrew the three crosshead
screws (8).

The pump impeller can then be cleaned. For reasons of safety, a damaged pump impeller (9) may
only be replaced by an authorised service representative.

Store the pump in a dry place to protect against frost damage.

IMPORTANT

! Electrical components may only be repaired by an authorised service representative.
