LOCATION AND TEMPERATURE LIMITS
Position the battery charger in a well-ventilated, clean location where it is not exposed to direct
sunlight or corrosive gases, and away from other heat sources. Place the charger on a flat, stable
surface so that it cannot tip over, and as far from the battery as possible.
If the battery’s temperature during charging exceeds 45°C, stop charging. The temperature can be
kept down though forced cooling.
USE
1.
Check the fluid level in the battery and top up with battery fluid if necessary.
2.
Screw the covers onto the battery cells, but do not tighten them fully, in order that the gas that is
formed can be evacuated; this prevents the battery from bursting if the small hole in the cover
becomes blocked.
3.
Connect the charger’s red cable clip to the battery’s positive terminal (+) and the black clip to the
negative terminal (–).
4.
When you connect the clips, turn them a little on the battery terminals to remove dirt and
oxidisation and thereby achieve a good electrical contact.
5.
Connect the charger to the power outlet.
6.
When the battery fluid’s specific weight is 1.28, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and
disconnect the two clips. The battery has now finished charging.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible

low
1.
The battery’s positive and
negative terminals are oxidised
and/or dirty.
2.
The battery is too old (terminal
plating has aged).
3.
The battery is fully charged.
1.
