DESCRIPTION
The machine is designed for sharpening tool blades, scissors, knives, etc. Its controls and indicators are
illustrated and described below.

USE
WARNING!
Make sure the button (5) is in the OFF position before connecting to the mains supply.
WARNING!
Never grind thin sheets such as razor blades, etc. These are too weak and may cause injury.
1.
Fill the water in the sump (3) so that the water level is about 10 mm up on the grinding wheel.
2.
Connect the plug to 230 VAC.
3.
Start the machine using button (5).
4.
Check continually that the water level is correct.
5.
Do not press the grinding object too hard against the grinding wheel as this will cause a reduction
in speed.
6.
Stop working if any of the following occurs:
- Smoke
appears
-
Suspicious odours arise
-
The power cord is damaged
-
Other faults occur.
7.
Never grind without water as the grinding wheel will overheat and become damaged.
8.
When grinding is completed, the water sump must be drained. The grinding wheel will be damaged
if water remains in the sump.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Always disconnect from the mains supply before carrying out any maintenance on the
machine.
CLEANING
Clean using soapy water and wipe dry with a clean cloth or similar. Never use benzine or other
chemicals. These could damage plastic and electrical components. Never use abrasive materials when
cleaning.
Check regularly that all the screws are tight and that there is no damage.
Clean the sump from grinding residue regularly.
REPLACEMENT OF GRINDING WHEEL
1.
Unplug the power cord.
2.
Drain the water.
3.
Remove the nut (2) in the figure.
4.
Remove the grinding wheel and fit the new one.
5.
Refit nut and tighten it.
6.
Test run the machine and check that the grinding wheel is not out of true or eccentric. If this is the
case, start the assembly again.
