11. Press the READ/CON button again to
display the calculated distance BC on the
character display’s bottom row and the
section AC on the character display’s third
row (fig. 28).
12. Press the READ/CON button again to
perform a new measurement.
Continuous measurement
(localisation)
Continuous measurement (localisation) is used to
transfer dimensions, for example from
construction drawings. In the continuous
measurement mode, the measurement tool can
be moved in relation to the measurement object,
and the measurement value in the character
display is updated at approx. 0.5 second intervals.
For example, you can measure the distance
between the tool and a wall, and then walk away
from the wall with the measured distance
constantly displayed, so that you can clearly see
when you have reached the correct distance.
1. Select single distance measurement
using the mode button. Press the
Clear button to revert to the mode for single
distance measurement.
2.
Press and hold the READ/CON button for
approximately 3 seconds to activate the
continuous measurement mode.
3.
Move the tool until the distance required
appears on the character display’s bottom
row.
4. 4.
Press any button to cancel
continuous measurement. The current
measured value is shown on the character
display’s bottom row. The minimum and
maximum values are shown on the
character display’s first and second rows
(fig. 29).
5.
Press the READ/CON button again to start
a new continuous measurement sequence.
Minimum/maximum measurement
This function is used for measuring minimum or maximum distance from a fixed measurement point. It is
normally used for diagonal measurement (maximum value) or the measurement of horizontal or vertical
sections (minimum value).
The measured values can be transferred to various measurement modes, i.e. area, volume, trigonometric
measurement and single distance measurement.
This function helps to eliminate measurement errors caused by the tool not being held correctly and/or
not being targeted correctly at the measurement object. It is used for a more precise calculation of area,
volume or indirectly measured distance.
1. Select
area
measurement
, volume measurement or trigonometric measurement using the
mode button.
2.
Press the MIN/MAX button
to activate minimum/maximum measurement
