CAUTION
•
When carrying the tape feeder, do not grasp the section “A.” If any
abnormal load is imposed on the section “A,” the tape feeder may be
deformed, and it may cause the component feeding error or pickup.
•
When carrying the tape feeder, take extreme care so that you cannot hit
it against any other parts or equipment or drop it.
If any shock is given to the tape feeder by any possibility, be sure to
check to see if the tape feeder does not.
2.3 Feeding a Component (Enabling a Component To Be Picked Up)
Level the tape feeder, and operate the manual feeding lever or knock lever in the
direction indicated with the arrow mark to feed a component and stop it nearby the
pick-up position. If a component is located at the pick-up position before you attach
the tape feeder onto the mounter, the component may drop off due to vibration of the
tape feeder when you are carrying the tape feeder or when you attach it onto the
mounter. Therefore, feed a component to the pick-up position only after attaching the
tape feeder onto the mounter.

CAUTION
Be sure to feed a component to the pick-up position only when the
mounter does not operate. Check to see if the component is located at
the pick-up position or if it is not shifted from the pick-up position.
