4) Inspecting the reference side (bottom side) for fixing the tape feeder
Check to see if the fixing reference side (feeder bank connecting side) is not flawed
or if no foreign substance is stuck to this side.
If any foreign substance is stuck to this bottom side, use an air gun or similar
device to remove it.
If a foreign substance is cut into the bottom side, or if the bottom side has a dented
flaw, it lowers the component pick-up position accuracy, and the flaw may not be
repaired. Check to see if there is no foreign substance on this bottom side when
you attach the tape feeder on a mounter.

5) Inspecting a X-axis reference pin section
Check to see if the reference pins A and B are not worn out, flawed or deformed.
If any pin is worn out or deformed, replace it with a new one and readjust the
component pick-up position.

CAUTION
To replace a part of the tape feeder or adjust it, the feeder inspection jig
is required.
Refer to the Operating Instructions of the inspection jig for how to use it.
6) Inspecting the reel brake
Check to see if the reel brake can operate smoothly by a spring.
If the reel brake moves heavily, clean the sliding surface with an air gun or similar device.
Check to see if the reel
brake operates smoothly.
