indication SCAN: flashes in the adjusting mode

“SCAN” (automatic frequency scanning)

indication AF (“audio frequency”) for the volume

of the audio signal received [independent of vol-
ume control (6)]: the longer the bar graph, the
higher the volume level

indication RF (“radio  frequency”) for the re

-

ceived power of the radio signal: the longer the
bar graph, the better the reception

battery status indication: indicates the charging

status of the batteries of the transmitter

indication PEAK for the audio signal received:

should only shortly light up with signal peaks; if it
lights up permanently, the audio signal is over-

“FREQ.” (manual frequency adjustment)

reception indication

or

: indicates which of

the two receiving parts of the unit respectively
receives the more powerful radio signal.

indication MUTE: indicates that the receiver is

muted because it receives either a radio signal
which is too poor or no radio signal at all

indication of the frequency adjusted

Cursor keys for the frequency adjustment in the

modes “FREQ.” ( : to increase the frequency, : to
reduce the frequency) and “SCAN” ( : frequency
scanning upwards, : frequency scanning down-
wards)
Outside the adjusting modes the key

serves for

activating and deactivating the lock function: keep
the key pressed until the display indicates
(locking on) or

(locking off).

Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit) correspond
to all relevant directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with

.

It is essential to observe the following items:

G

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).

G

Do not set the receiver into operation, or immedi-
ately disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the units or to the mains

supply cable,

2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-

lar accident,

3. malfunctions occur.
The units must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.

G

A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must only be replaced by the manufacturer or by
skilled personnel.

G

Never pull the mains cable of the power supply unit
to disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket,
always seize the plug.

G

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.

G

No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected, operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.

G

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
are coloured in accordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-

nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.

2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-

nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

If the units are to be put out of operation
definitively, take them to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.

WARNING

The power supply unit is supplied with
hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Never make any modifications on the
power supply unit. Inexpert handling
may cause an electric shock hazard.
