3.2 Special Maintenance
Special maintenance is done on request by Service, or when the operator requires extra information from the system.
Special maintenance comprises:
1. USB Memory Stick.
2. Log Files.
3. Sensor Communication.
3.2.1 USB Memory Stick
Any USB stick used with the system should be checked for viruses. This may be performed with a computer that has
updated anti-virus software installed.
Perform the following actions:
1. Plug in the USB stick in a well protected computer.
2. Start / Open anti-virus program and scan the USB stick.
Note Check anti-virus program manual for exact details how to scan the USB stick.
3.2.2 Log Files
The system logs sensor data, thruster outputs and most user setting changes. The sensor log is stored on the MPC
flash drive in the D:\software\Data folder. With a USB stick these files can be copied to the computer by performing the
following actions:
Note Before plug-in check that the USB stick is virus free (USB Memory Stick on page 81).
1. Open main PC cabinet and locate the MPC.
2. Plug in the USB stick in any free USB connector at the back.
3. Click on Logo at the right top of the screen with the tracker ball.
The system controller screen appears.
4. Select the “On screen keyboard” icon at the right bottom of the screen.
A keyboard will appear on the screen.
5. Press the key with the Windows logo on the "on screen keyboard" and press the "E" key.
6. Browse to “D:\Software\” in the Windows file explorer that appears.
