Pipework Arrangement
The following are suggested pipework arrangements for
single unit installations. For multiple unit installations,
each unit should be piped as shown.

Connection Types & Sizes
For connection sizes relevant to individual models refer
to Section 9.
Refrigerant Relief Valve Piping
The compressor, cooler and condensers are each
protected against internal refrigerant over-pressure and
fire by refrigerant relief valves. The pressure relief valve
is set at the design pressure of the system and has
discharge capacity required by the relevant standard.
It is recommended that each valve should be piped to
the exterior of the building so that when the valve is
activated the release of high pressure gas and liquid
cannot be a danger or cause injury.
The size of any pipework attached to a relief valve must
be of sufficient diameter so as not to cause resistance to
the operation of the valve. For critical or complex
installations refer to EN13136.
The vent pipe must be installed and completed prior to
commissioning/start-up work commencing.
Unless otherwise specified by local regulations, the
internal diameter depends on the length of pipe required
and can be estimated with the following formula:
D5=1.447 x L
Where:
D = minimum pipe internal diameter (cm)
L = length of pipe (m).
