3.6 EMERGENCY LOWERING VALVE
DO NOT CLIMB OUT OF THE PLATFORM WHILE ELEVATED. THIS MAY AFFECT THE
MACHINE'S BALANCE AND CAUSE IT TO TIP OVER. ONLY EXIT THE PLATFORM
THROUGH THE PLATFORM GATES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLIMB DOWN ARM ASSEMBLY.
In case of platform control failure or operator incapacity, use the
emergency lowering valve. Before engaging, ensure the area
beneath the platform is free from obstructions. Stay clear of
descending structure and do not force the valve knob.
1.
Remove ground control panel frame cover.
2.
Locate the red Emergency Lowering Valve (
1
). Pull and twist
counterclockwise, then release to open the valve.
3.
Locate the red knob on the cylinder (
2
). Press and hold, then
release when desired height is achieved.
REMAIN CLEAR OF DESCENDING ARM ASSEMBLY WHEN EMERGENCY LOWERING
VALVE IS ACTIVE. DO NOT PLACE HAND BETWEEN TIE BAR AND DESCENDING BOOM
WHILE PRESSING RED KNOB (2) ON LIFT CYLINDER.
4.
Twist the Emergency Lowering Valve (
1
) counterclockwise to
close the valve.
5.
Return the frame cover to its proper location.
