DISC FORMATS / INSERTING THE DISC
Recalling a station
•
You can recall a memory location of a previously saved station by pushing
the buttons
/
(29) and
/FOLDER-
(36). The station will
automatically be set.

Please make sure that a connected iPod is not charged in radio mode.
Important information to MP3, CD-R/RW
•
The playback quality and performance cannot be guaranteed if non-standardised format definitions /
productions of MP3 and CD-R/RW discs are used.
•
Playback of MP3 and CD-R/RW discs could be dependent on the recording conditions.
•
Do not put glue, labels, etc. anywhere on a CD-R/RW disc as this can lead to malfunctions.
•
Do not insert any blank CD-R/RW discs into the device. It takes over 30 seconds to read the disc. Opening
the CD compartment during the reading operation can damage the disc.
•
CD-ROM, CD-I, CDV, VCD, DVD or computer CD discs cannot be read by this device. Do not insert such
formats.
Inserting the disc
•
Press the CD compartment release switch (19) to open the CD compartment. Remove any attached
protective paper.
•
Lay the CD into the CD compartment in such a way that the label or writing is facing upwards and the
holder pokes through the hole in the CD. Close the CD compartment by pushing down the CD compartment
cover (6).
•
Caution!
Never touch the lens inside the CD compartment.
•
Close the CD compartment and make sure that it clicks into place.
•
Switch on the device and select
CD
using the button
FUNCTION
(24).
•
The CD will now be read, during which time
READING
will be shown in
the display. If the inserted medium is readable, then the first track will
automatically be played. If the CD is not readable then the
NO DISC
will be
shown in the display.
•
In order to remove a CD after it is finished, stop playback, open the CD
compartment and remove the CD by holding it on two sides of the edge.
