7.7- Belts tension adjustment and replacements
The motor is fastened in a mobile base, whose movement
(leftward and righward) is controlled by the lever (1). This
lever have two functions:
1º- The lever (1) ought to be moved to right hand side to
move the motor, eliminating the belt tension (2). This allow
to remove and install the belts manually.
NOTE:
Remove the locking pin (3) and them move the
lever (1).
NOTE:
To tighten the belts (2) move the lever (1) to
leftward.
2º-
VERY IMPORTANT:
The lever (1) acts as a ¨clutch¨,
avoiding the motor overload during startup.
Therefore, to
start the motor, make the following:
- Remove the locking pin (3).
- Move the lever (1) to rightward until eliminate the belt
tension (2).
NOTE.:
Don’t leave the belts completely loosen!
- Start the motor.
- Move the lever (1) slowly leftward, transferring the motor
movement gradually to the belts (2). With this procedure
you avoid to overload the motor during starting procedure.
- Install the locking pin (3) in the hole (4) nearly the bar (5)
to lock the motor, according illustrated aside.
Check the belt tension (2) each
50 work hours
or weekly
and if you assemble a motor, according instructions
on next page.
