10 Operating system update
Operating system update via FTP
Using an FTP client an OS file can be transferred to the device JVM-507B.
An OS file for the JVM-507B is available.
An FTP connection to the device has been established.
The operating system of the JVM-507B is running.
The controller must not be de-energized during the OS update process.
To update the OS, proceed as follows:

Establish an FTP connection to the JVM-507B.

Log in with administrator rights.

Navigate to the directory
\App
.

Transfer the OS file.

Wait until the transfer process is completed.

Use a text editor and create on your PC a configuration file named
config.ini.

Enter into this file the path and the name of the OS file on the device, e.g.
\app\jvm_ce0_1.00.0.07.os
.

Copy this file into the directory
\App
.

Clear the FTP connection.

To activate the transferred OS, re-boot the device.

The new OS is being installed.
Wait at least one minute.

Restart the device.
