U Series User Manual

Submenu: Sharing

The menu Configuration -> Sharing is for accessing the Explorer and Shares options.

Explorer

The menu Configuration -> Sharing -> Explorer or Sharing -> Explorer tab of the operation area

provides to create file system/volume, edit file system/volume, delete file system/volume, create

folder for file system, take snapshot, auto snapshot, add share for file system, attach LUN for

volume or browse the whole storage pool structure.

Functions in the right click menu for file system (file-based access):



Create: Create a file system or volume.



Edit file system: Edit the file system.



Create folder: Create folder on the file system.



Delete file system: Delete the file system.



Take snapshot: Take a snapshot on the file system.



Auto snapshot: Set auto snapshot on the file system.



Add share: Add share for the data services.



Edit share: Edit share for the data services.



Remove share: Remove share for the data services.

Functions in the right click menu for volume (block-based access):



Edit volume: Edit the volume.



Delete volume: Delete the volume.



Take snapshot: Take a snapshot on the volume.
