Fuel canisters can explode.
Keep them away from heat, direct sunlight,
and sources of ignition.
Canisters must be
stored outdoors in a well-ventilated area out
of the reach of children.
DANGER
^
Do not use unit on a hot surface.
If you cannot keep your palm on a surface
for more than 5 seconds, the surface is too hot to place a fuel canister on
.
If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), remove it to a well-ventilated,
flame-free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to
check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using
a flame; use soapy water.
Accessible parts may become very hot. Keep young children away.
Helios must be operated on a horizontal surface, at least 1 meter away from any
adjacent surfaces (walls or ceilings), flammable materials, and ignition sources.
Do not lean over stove, and keep hair and other body parts away from unit dur-

Detach lid (1.1) and remove stored contents of pot (2). Contents include: fuel
canister (SOLD SEPARATELY) (8.2), canister stand (6), windscreen (9.3), Helios
burner (with feed line and valve) (3.1), and Helios base (3.2).
Set the base (3.2) on a firm, level surface, free of any debris or brush.
Igniter wire (3.1) should point towards the burner (3.2) and be between 3-6 mm
from burner. Pull the burner (3.2) through the base (3.3) and hook burner carrier
into slot (4.1) on the burner base. Snap carrier into place (4.2). Fully rotate pot
supports (3.6) into their upright positions (4.3). If windscreen is desired, snap
windscreen onto base tabs (3.4) and snap ends together to enclose the base.
Check that control valve (5.1) is closed (tighten clockwise) and that O-ring (5.2)
is in place and in good condition before connecting to gas canister. Do not use
this appliance if it has damaged or worn seals, or is leaking, damaged or operat-
ing improperly.
Unfold legs of canister stand (6). Slide top tab of valve (5.3) into canister stand
(7). Ensure it is securely in place. Remove the fuel canister cap (8.1) and set
aside. Turn valve body so that the fuel stand (6) is above the valve, and that the
threads of the valve are facing down (8). Hold canister (8.2) upright, and place
valve body (8.3) squarely onto the canister. Hand tighten only, and avoid cross-
threading the canister. Invert fuel and canister stand, and set canister stand on
