Water meter
Model MAGDOS FL(S) can be addressed by
commercial contact water meters. In order to avoid
disturbing influences or faulty pulses, the pump
should not be mounted directly to the water counter.
However, if an adapter is used providing for a distance
of 50 mm a direct mounting is allowed. Preferably the
pump should be mounted to the chemical tank or to
a wall holder. The electronic system is designed for
a maximum input frequency of 105 contacts per
minute. The pulse sequence of the water meter
should be designed accordingly.
General
In many processes in water and waste water
treatment as well as in swimming pools metering
pumps are required which can be adapted precisely
to the corresponding process and the necessary
functions regarding their metering capacity. Mete-
ring pumps of the MAGDOS E/EL/FL series were
designed such that you can select the appropriate
pump for each specific task.
MAGDOS E-
Pump control for continuous operation at 100 strokes
per minute.
MAGDOS EL-
Pump control for continuous operation at 100 strokes
per minute allowing the connection of a self-monitoring
low-level electrode.
MAGDOS FL-
Pump control for external control by means of water
meter, controller and any other potential-free contacts.
Per each incoming control contact the pump carries
out a stroke. In order to protect the pump against
overheating the control unit allows only a maximum
frequency of up to 100 strokes per minute. As a
protection against dry operation it is possible to
connect a self-monitoring low-level electrode.
Pumps of the EL and FL series are optionally also
available with a fault indicator relay (type ELS and
FLS) for a remote alarm signal if the level of the
metering medium is too low or in the case of power
failure.
The metering capacity is in the range of 0.1 to 12 l/h.
The exact metering output and the possible
backpressure are shown in the feed characteristics
in MB 1 02 05 / 5 and 6. Metering quantity adjustment
is stepless and carried out via stroke length by
actuating a threaded bush. The diaphragm stroke is
produced by means of a DC solenoid. Reduction
gears or rotating parts are not used which guarantees
a high operational safety and maintenenance-free
operation.
All types are designed to meet the requirements of of
the German Water and Gas Association and DIN
19635 and are also available as CSA/UL-versions.
