Cleaning the 45- and 65-Gallon
JENFAB External Coalescing Oil
Separators (If Equipped)
Follow these steps to clean the optional mini coalescing oil separator:
1.
Follow your plant’s lockout/tagout procedure to prepare the
machine for maintenance.
2.
Turn off the power to the oil separator pump.
3.
Open the bottom drain valves to drain all compartments of
the separator. Remove the hold-down bar that holds the tube
bundle in place.
4.
Remove the tube bundles by lifting it out.
5.
Clean the tube bundle by hosing it off or soaking it in a tank
with cleaning solution.
Caution—
Using steam to clean the tube bundle will damage the tube
bundle. To prevent damage to the tube bundle, do not clean with steam.
6.
Clean the inside of the separator.
7.
Close the bottom drain valves.
8.
Reinstall the tube bundle and hold-down bar.
9.
Refill the oil separator with water or allow the belt washer to
automatically fill the separator upon start up.
10.
Start the oil separator pump.
