Utility Requirements and
Connections
Requirements
You will need to supply the following utilities:
Electrical requirements—460VAC, 3-Phase, 60-Hz, (Other voltage
are optional. Check to ensure machine voltage matches supply
voltage.)
Compressed air requirements—60 to 80 psig, regulated, instrument
quality
Water requirements—process water, typical city water pressure
Drain requirements—drain capacity should be capable of accepting
the volume of all tanks when tanks are drained. The drains should
have the appropriate environmental treatments for the
contaminants and chemistries that can be present in the tanks.
Steam requirement—30 to 40 psi. See steam drawing for steam and
condensate connection specifications.
Connections
Have qualified technicians make the following connections:
Electrical Connections
Connect your power source to the main power disconnect junction
block on the belt washer. Check for proper phasing by jogging all
motors to be sure each is rotating in the proper direction.
Caution—
If you do not check the phase of the main electrical
connection, pumps, fans, and the conveyor belt may not rotate in the proper
direction upon startup, damaging the belt washer. To avoid damage,
manually start all motors to test for proper phasing before fully starting up
and using the machine.
