a llow ea sier r em ova l wit h a scr ewdr iver.
(2) In st a ll on e dowel in bolt h ole No.10 a n d t h e
ot h er dowel in bolt h ole No.8 (F ig. 36).
(3) Rem ove t h e sh op t owels fr om t h e cylin der
bor es. Coa t t h e bor es wit h clea n en gin e oil.
(4) P la ce t h e en gin e cylin der h ea d ga sket (wit h t h e
n u m ber s fa cin g u p) over t h e dowels.
(5) P la ce t h e en gin e cylin der h ea d over t h e dowels.
CAUTION: Engine cylinder head bolts should be
reused only once. Replace the head bolts if they
were used before or if they have a paint dab on the
top of the bolt.
(6) Coa t t h e t h r ea ds of bolt No.7, on ly, wit h Loct it e

(7) In st a ll a ll h ea d bolt s, except No.8 a n d No.10.
(8) Rem ove t h e dowels.

CAUTION: During the final tightening sequence,
bolt No.7 will be tightened to a lower torque than
the rest of the bolts. DO NOT overtighten bolt No.7.
