11.10 FLAPS
General points
- The flaps (trim control system) allow the pilot to adjust the boat's trim under way and thus to
reduce fuel consumption.
- The flaps run on DC power.
- A fuse protects the electrical circuit.
- They are operated by means of a push button situated on the wheelhouse and their position
is adjustable.
- The flaps only work when the boat's engines are running.
ADVICE-RECOMMENDATION
- Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance.
- Adjust the flaps gradually to avoid abrupt hull movements. At high speeds, take care
when adjusting the flaps.
- Retract the flaps fully if there is a heavy swell on the stern of the boat.
