EMERGENCY TILLER
The emergency tiller is stored in the cockpit starboard aft port locker.
It is designed to overcome a steering damage and enables you to sail only at
a reduced speed.
FITTING
- Disconnect any appliance linked to the rudder stock.
- Unscrew the tiller cover at the aft end of the cockpit (under the duckboard)
with a winch handle.
- Slip the tiller into the guiding bearing.
- Insert the tiller into the rudder stock.
The emergency tiller is fi tted with two extension bars to be more effi cient.

MANOEUVRES
- Know where your crew members are and inform them before you manoeu-
vre on the boat.
- Carefully manoeuvre on the deck and always wear shoes.

ENGINE
- Systematically stop the engines before you dive or swim next to the boat.
- Never try to free a fi shing net or a piece of rope that is caught on a propeller
when the latter is rotating.

TOWING
If you have to tow another boat, tow her at a reduced speed and as smoothly
as you can.
Be particularly careful when throwing or catching the towing line (It may catch
on the propellers).
