Important information! Regarding the
hose connection
The orientation of the hose connection (B)
determines which side of the mattress is
lifted first.
This is important if the system is to be
used for the static positioning of a patient
on one side, to achieve the same effect as
a wedge cushion. See section “Using the
Turn All
®
System for Static Side-Lying” on
page 9.
The hose connection (B) is marked with the
letters “R” and ”L” to indicate which side of
the mattress will begin to lift first.
To commence turning the patient on the
right side of the bed, seen from the foot
end, the hose connection is inserted into
the air hose socket with the letter “R”
adjacent to the words “Start side” printed
on the pump case, as shown in (Figure 2).
If the lateral turning is to start on the left
side of the bed, seen from the foot end, the
hose connection must be inserted with the
letter “L” next to the words “Start side” on
the pump case, as shown in (Figure 3).
