1. Close the cover.
2. Make sure the cover is closed correctly.
3. Use the ignition key to lock the cover.

Engine Compartment Cover
Open
1. Make the machine safe.
Refer to: Maintenance Position (Excavator Arm Lowered) (Page 165).
2. Use the ignition key to unlock the cover.
3. Pull the handles to release the latches. Allow the cover to raise on its gas strut. Keep hold of the cover
while it rises. Lift the cover to fully open position and engage the locking stay to lock the bonnet open.

1. Lift the locking stay and keep hold of the bonnet.
2. Push the cover down.
3. Make sure the cover is correctly latched.
4. Make sure to lock the engine cover.
Cab Side Panel
Open
1. Make the machine safe.
Refer to: Maintenance Position (Excavator Arm Lowered) (Page 165).
2. Use the ignition key to unlock the cover.
3. Open the cover until it latches in position.
