CAUTION:
When sewing with the zipper foot, make sure to use
pattern "01 (straight stitch with the center needle
position). Otherwise the needle may hit the foot and
possibly break.
Attaching the zipper foot
(A) Attach zipper foot E with the pin on the right-
hand side to the groove to sew the left side of the
zipper.
(B) Attach zipper foot E with the pin on the left-hand
side to the groove to sew the right side of the
zipper.

1 Fold back the left seam allowance. Turn under the
right seam allowance to form a 0.2 to 0.3 cm (1/8")
fold. Place the zipper teeth next to the fold and pin
it in place.

1 Add 1 cm (3/8”) to the zipper size. This is the
overall opening size.

2 Place the right sides of the fabric together and sew
to the end of the zipper opening. Fasten the seam
with reverse stitching.
Reduce the presser foot pressure to “1” (refer to
page 12).
Increase the stitch length manually to 5 mm
(3/16”) and loosen the tension to “1” to sew the
zipper opening with basting stitches.
