Installing the XT200 battery
The XT200 has a rechargeable, user-installable
battery that is located in the back of the device
underneath a protective cover. The cover is se-
curely held in place by a number of retainer
snaps.
To open the battery compartment cover, firmly
push down and hold the battery locker button
that is marked PUSH. While holding down the
button, slowly and carefully pry open the battery
compartment cover.
Place the battery, black side facing you, into the
compartment. Make sure the battery is firmly
seated.
Before putting the battery compartment cover
back on, make sure the red o-ring seal is undam-
aged and firmly in place. Do not use the XT200 if
the red o-ring is missing or damaged.
To put the compartment cover back into place,
begin with inserting the three plastic tabs at the
bottom of the cover into the corresponding
cutouts at the bottom of the device. Then firmly
push the cover snaps into place, starting at the
bottom and working your way up, until the entire
cover is firmly in place.
