THE TRACTOR

Read
the
Operator's
Manual
carefully
before
using
the tractor.
Lack of operating
knowledge
can lead to accidents.

Do not
modify
or alter
or permit
anyone
else
to
modify
or
alter
this
tractor
or
any
of its
components
or any tractor
function.
.
Never store equipment
with gasoline
inthe tank
inside
a building
where
fumes
may reach
an
open
flame
or spark.
Allow
the engine
to cool
before storing
in any enclosure.

Do not allow
children
to operate
the vehicle.
Do not
allow adults
to operate
it without
proper
instruction.
.
Do not permit
anyone
but the operator
to ride
on the tractor.
There
isno safe
place for extra
riders.

Keep all
shields
in place.

Replace
safety
and warning
decals
when
they
become
illegible.
SERVICING THE TRACTOR

The vehicle and attachments should bestopped
and inspected for damageafter striking aforeign
object andthe damage should berepaired before
restarting and operating theequipment.

Do not smoke while refueling thetractor.
Keep
any type of open flame away. Wait for engine to
cool before refueling.

Keep thevehicle and attachments
ingood op-
erating
condition
and keep safety
devices in
place.

Keep open flame away from battery
or cold
weather starting aidsto prevent
fires or explo-
sions.

Disengage power
to attachment(s)
andstop the
engine (motor)
before making any repairs or
adjustments.
OPERATING THE TRACTOR

Disengage all attachments clutches and shift
into
neutral before attempting
to start the engine
(motor).

Do not start the engine
or operate controls
while
standing
beside
the
tractor.
Always
sit in the
tractor
seat when starting
the engine or operating
controls.

Do not bypass the starter
safety interlock
system.
Consult your Dealer if your starter safety controls
malfuncti.on.
Use jumper
cables only in recom-
mended
manner,
improper
use
can
result
in
tractor
runaway.

Do not
get off the tractor
while
it is in motion.
.
Shut off the engine
and apply
the parking
brake
before getting
off the tractor.
.
Always
apply the parking
brake and remove
the
starter
key when
leaving
the unit parked or un-
attended.

Never leave the
unit when it is parked
onan in-
cline. Always park theunit
on level ground
where
possible.
If the unit
is to beparked
on an incline,
always lower the attachment(s),
apply theparking
brake, and securely
block the wheels.

Do not operate the tractor
engine in anenclosed
building
without
adequate
ventilation.
Exhaust
fumes can cause
death.

Keep people
and pets a safe distance
away from
machine.
DRIVING THE TRACTOR

Drive thetractor
with care andat
speeds com-
patible with safety, especially when operating
over rough ground, crossing ditches, slopes and
whenturning toavoid upsets.

Disengage power
to attachment(s)
when trans-
porting or not in use.

Keep thetractor
in the samegear
when going
downhill asusedwhen going uphill.
Donot coast
or free wheel down hills.

Use care when
pulling
loads or using heavy
equipment.
a) Useonly approved drawbar
hitch points.
b) Limit loadsto those you cansafely control.
c) Do not turn sharply.
Usecare when backing.
d) Use counterweight(s)
or wheel weights when
suggested inthe operator's
manual.
