OPERATING PROCEDURES
PRE OPERATION CHECKLIST
2. Check hydraulic oil level (sight gauge) bullet type.
(see image 16b)
PRE OPERATION SAFETY
DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO OPERATE THE PRECLEANER
20/30 WHO HAS NOT BEEN PROPERLY TRAINED IN ITS
SAFETY OPERATIONS.
A er an extended shutdown period ( 30 days )or a er an
oil change, make sure that the engine receives the correct
oil flow.
See (Engine Opera on and Maintenance Manual)
1. Check engine oil level prior to star ng engine.

8. Check engine air filter. Replace if necessary.
9. Check for hydraulic leaks and frayed or cut hydraulic
hoses.
8. Check tension of all conveyor belts on elevator. Also
check woodchuck conveyor belt if elevator is equipped
with the woodchuck op on. All conveyor belts should be
ghtened if loose. Check tension of woodchuck conveyor
chain. Chain should be snug with no sags in chain.
9. Start engine and warm up for 3 – 4 Minutes at idle.
10. Turn on elevator conveyor belts (Woodchuck
op on off). Both horizontal and incline conveyor belts
must move freely. If they don’t move freely stop engine
and free belt or belts that do not move. Turn on
woodchuck. Check woodchuck belt and chain making sure
they move freely.
11. A er conveyor belts run smoothly at low speed check
each belt. Make sure they track evenly on both head sha
and tail sha pullies. Adjust belts if they do not track
evenly or if they are loose. They must carry a full load
without slipping. CAUTION: Do not over
ghten woodchuck conveyor belt. See conveyor belt
adjustments instruc ons below
.
13. Now you are ready to start opera ons.

CONVEYOR BELT ADJUSTMENT
1. To change alignment of the belt:
‐Loosen bearing hold‐down bolts.
‐Turn the adjustment bolt to ghten the belt on the side
where the belt is too close or rubbing.
‐Re‐ ghten bearing hold‐down bolts.
PRE OPERATION CHECKLIST
‐Run belt at low speed for 1 – 2 minutes allowing belt to
center on pulley. Re‐adjust if necessary.
‐Run belt at fast speed for 2 – 3 minutes while checking
alignment.
2. To increase belt tension:
‐Loosen bearing hold‐ down bolts on idler pulley sha .
‐Turn adjustment bolts on each side of the belt an equal
amount increasing belt tension.
‐Re ghten bearing hold‐down bolts.
‐Run belt at low‐ speed checking for correct tension and
alignment. Re‐adjust if necessary.
‐Run belt at fast speed for 2 – 3 minutes while checking
tension and alignment.
3. Woodchuck roller chain is ghtened in the same
manner as the conveyor belts.
