Make sure that the transducer is in a clear spot during immersion and in direct line of
sight with the sea surface.

Noisy environment conditions alter the acoustic sensitivity of the Release Transponder
and the receiving performances. Make sure that both the RT961S-Mk2 transducer is
deployed as far as possible from any source of acoustic noises and vibrations.
•
The device's normal position must be vertical, transducer to the top.
•
Only use special load rings specified by IXSEA.
•

body must never be used as fulcrum.
•
Pay special attention to the fact that parts of the RT961S-Mk2 made of UNS32550
Super Duplex material are isolated from any dissimilar metal. This could lead to major
corrosion risks between the dissimilar metals.

hook is used when the load is in the axis and the release unit on the side.
Procedure
Step Action
1.
Connect the ring (ref.: 910 3234) to the load or dead weight anchor.
2.
Connect the release system to the mooring line (floats and instrumentation).
3.
Connect the release system hook to the ring as described in 0.
4.
End of procedure.
