Action
1.
Thoroughly degrease and clean the system and in particular the housing of flange
supporting plate (9102708) dedicated to the two web flanges (9102709).
Clean the two web flanges (9102709).
2.
On the handle used for the manual releasing operation:
Remove the broken pieces of the ROV handle locking pin (9102729).
Perform an operating test of the ROV pin (9103085) over an angle of 180°, then restore
the handle in released position. (Black part of the handle at the opposite of the black part
corresponding to the home position of the frame).
3.
Grease the parts which have been cleaned with a grease for submerged knuckle joints
(e.g. CASTROL SPHEEROL T6 for wet environment, grade NLGI2).
4.
Check or fit the flat faces of the ROV axis (9103085) in line with unit main axis.
5.
Rock the two web flanges (910 2709) into the housings of the supporting plate
(9102708), engaging the flat faces of ROV pin (9103085) into the said web flanges
(9102709).
6.
While holding the assembly, restore the handle to its home position, turning it by 180°.
The flat faces of the pin (9103085) will be locking the web flanges (910 2709). The black
painted section of the handle is now situated on the home position black section and
safety locking position.
7.
Manually check the correct re-arming of this assembly by pulling the web flanges or the
fork shaped lever.
8.
Fit the ROV handle locking pin (9102729) in position through the central bore of the
handle, and secure the two cotter pins size 2.5 x 30.
