9.2 Circuit 1 Cooling
Settings for the cooling station are made under Primary
cooling circuit sub-menu Circuit 1 Cooling . The settings
here also include circuit E31 in the system solution on
page 15.
Cooling
In summer mode, the cooling operation is activated as
soon as the outside temperature exceeds the setpoint,
the timer for the cooling/heating delay expires and –
providing a room temperature sensor has been
connected – the room temperature of the circuit
exceeds the setpoint by half of the hysteresis (see
settings below).
The cooling operation is activated during winter mode, if
Allow cooling in winter operation has been set to Yes .
In this case, the room temperature controls the cooling
operation providing a room temperature sensor is
connected. Otherwise the cooling system operates with
reference to the specified setpoint.
Primary cooling circuit
The settings apply to the cooling station (and circuit E31
in the system solutions page 15.
> Allow cooling in winter operation
Yes only functions in systems with separate cooling and
heating circuits. See system solutions on page 15.
Underfloor heating systems with control distributor
cannot use the function,
No applies.
> Outdoor temperature limit for cooling
The menu is only displayed if No is selected under Allow
cooling in winter operation .
> Room sensor

Select E11.TT if the unshunted circuit’s room sensor
connected to the heat pump is to be used. E11.TT
must be used when the same sensor is used for
heating/cooling.

Select E31.TT if the room sensor connected to the
cooling station is to be used. E31.TT must be used if
only the cooling function is wanted.

Select None if no room sensor is to be used.
Use of a room sensor connected to the cooling station/
heat pump improves the control of cooling and heating
operations.
> Room temperature
The menu only appears if the option E31.TT has been
selected under
Room sensor . Menus for E11.TT settings
can be found under Circuit 1 Heating .
> Room temperature change in cooling mode
The menu is only displayed if E11.TT is selected under
Room sensor .
The function means that the setpoint value for the room
temperature (default value +2K) is adjusted for better
comfort during cooling operation.
> Cooling/heating change over delay
The function ensures that the switching between cooling
and heating at temperatures around the outdoor
temperature limit for cooling does not occur before the
temperature is stable above or below the set value.
