Instruction manual
connected pressure regulator which is delivered with the
unit.
∙
Check the gas hose at least once a month and every
time you change the liquid gas cylinder. If it shows signs
of damage, replace it with a new one of the same length
and quality. Anyway the gas hose must be replaced within
the specified periods.
∙
Check that the seals on the pressure regulator and
on the cylinder valve are in good condition, are fitted
correctly and they can perform their function.
WARNING! If there is a gas leak or if
you smell gas, do not use the gas fan
heater! If it is already in use, the gas
supply must be shut off and doors
and windows must be immediately
opened. The gas fan heater must be
inspected and repaired before being
used again. In the event of a leak or
if you smell gas, do not switch on/off
any lights or other electrical switches,
do not use a mobile phone in the
danger area, do not use a naked flame
(e.g. a lighter) and do not smoke.
∙
Position the power cable so that there is no danger
of tripping over it.
∙
Do not pass the power cable over hot parts of the
equipment during operation.
∙
Never wind the power cable around the gas fan
heater.
∙
Protect the connecting hose against thermal,
chemical and mechanical damage. Do not kink or twist
the gas hose.
∙
Connect to electrical mains equipped with a ‘life
safer’ switch.
∙
If the application does not ignite or ignition is faulty,
before making any further attempt, check if the fan is
blocked and/or if air circulation is sufficient.
∙
Do not connect tubes to channel hot air!
WARNING! Never immerse the gas fan
heater in water. Never use nor touch
the gas fan heater with wet hands.
Never open the gas fan heater and
touch live parts. DANGER OF FATAL
ACCIDENT!
WARNING! Do not touch the housing
nor the grille during operation. Risk
of burns!
∙
Do not use the heater without the grille.
∙
The air inlet grille and the air outlet opening must
not be reduced in size and must not be obstructed or
covered over. Risk of fire!
∙
Do not insert any foreign objects into the
equipment’s openings. Danger of electric shock!
∙
Do not move the gas fan heater when it is in
operation.
∙
If the thermal safety device switches the device
off during operation, the cause of overheating must be
eliminated before using the machine again.
∙
If the equipment cannot be left in a safe condition to
run unattended, switch it off and make it unserviceable
(seal the gas inlet point and remove the power plug).
∙
When you want to switch off the appliance, it is
imperative to turn the on/off switch to OFF first. Never
remove the plug from the socket outlet before switching
off.
∙
After the gas fan heater has been in use and each
time before you move it, close the valve on the liquid
gas cylinder.
∙
Always unplug the heater before any maintenance
or repairs.
∙
If the gas fan heater is not used for a long period
of time, pull out the power plug and remove the gas
cylinder.
∙
If the heater performs poorly, please contact an
Authorized IVT Service Center. In any event, have
the appliance checked once a year by specialized
personnel.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
CONNECTING THE GAS CYLINDER
1. Connect the gas supply hose to gas connection
thread (6) on heater; then connect to the gas cylinder
in the following order: pressure regulator (complete with
safety valve) and gas hose.
2. Make sure all junctions are perfectly secured. Pay
attention to the connection thread!
3. Turn on the gas supply and test for leaks. Check
the tightness of the joints by using leak detection spray
or pouring some liquid soap over: the presence of
bubbles is evidence of gas leak.
∙
Never use other types of regulator or hose (only
those delivered together with your appliance - same
type, same specifications, approved).
∙
The gas cylinder must be set up in such a way that
