4.3 INSTALLATION
The machine is to be positioned in an indoor and sheltered area, where the temperature is between 5° and
40°C.
The work position must be well lighted, in compliance with standards in force in the country of installation.
Remember that the manufacturer is not liable for this aspect.
Position the machine and remember to allow for the minimum distances requested from walls or other machi-
nery so that the machine can be used and serviced in conditions of safety.
Check to have the right conditions in order to have enough space according to the dimensions of the pieces to
be worked.
4.3.1 Required space
The figure 4.1 is a schematized diagram of the
area occupied by the machine and the mini-
mum space necessary to be able to work in
total safety.
Lm = machine length 650 mm.(JS 40) 700
mm. (JS 47).
Ll =
space required for passing and working
depending on the length of material to
work and on the type of work to do.
Am = machine width 800 mm.(JS 40) 900 mm.
(JS 47).
Al =
space required for passing and working
depending on the length of material to
work and on the type of work to do.
4.3.2 Lifting
The machine can be lifted using the ring mounted on the upper
part of its body as shown in the figure 4.2.
Be informed that the weight of the machine is approximately
130 kilos for the JS 40 and 165 kilos for the JS 47.
When the machines is moved, keep the load
as low as possible to ensure better stability
and visibility.
Move slowly without any jerks.
Make sure there are no people in dangerous
positions.

Cleaning
The non painted surfaces are normally covered with oil to protect them from the corrosion during the transport.
Remove the oils with a solvent solution.
For a better performance of the machine be sure to have cleaned all mobile parts and all parts in contact with
other surfaces.
Don’t use diesel fuel or other substances petrol based to clan the machine to avoid any
risk of fire.
Many of the solvent solution normally used to clean the machine can be toxic if they are
inhaled or ingested. Work always in well ventilated areas when you use these substances.
