6. FIRST START UP, SWITCH ON AND PICTURE ADJUSTMENT (Keystone,
Rotation and Reduction)
Press the power button on the control keyboard (chap. 4 n. 6) or on the remote control (chap. 4 n. 1);
after a welcome screen a few seconds long, the projector enters in the language selection menu: use
the arrow keys on the keyboard or the remote control to select the desired language, and then confirm
pressing OK. The language selection procedure will not be displayed starting from the second power
on.
Display a test image by selecting the correct source using the “S” key on the keyboard (chap. 4 n. 5)
or the remote control (chap. 4 n. 9): a static image from a USB pendrive will be ideal. Then act on the
focus ring (chap. 4) in order to obtain the best adjustment with images well defined, with sharp edges
and the least “hazy” display possible.
If the projector is not mounted perfectly central and perpendicular to the screen, which is quite rare,
especially with ceiling installation, the image may appear trapezoidal, and can be corrected using the
keystone function: digital correction of the trapezoidal image.
Quadrature the image using the provided ring (chap. 4) placed just behind the focus ring, in order to
obtain an image as rectangular as possible, with 90° angles. At the end of the keystone adjustment,
could be necessary to correct the focus and vice versa: the ideal adjustment therefore involves a
sequence of successive adjustments of keystone and focus, until the best result is obtained.
