Transporting the wheelchair as luggage/without occupants 

 

 

 
Before transporting your wheelchair, make sure the motors are engaged and that the Joystick Box is switched 
off. 
 
We strongly recommend that you additionally disconnect or remove the batteries. See 

"

Removing the batteries

", sections 8.1 and 8.2

. 

 
We strongly recommend securing the wheelchair to the floor of the transporting vehicle.

 

 

CAUTION: Injury hazard! 

 

If you are unable to fasten your electric wheelchair securely in a transport vehicle, we recommend that you 
do not transport it! 

 

NOTE: 

 

If stored or transported when folded ensure the motor cables are not trapped, or have weight pressing on 
them, by inserting a pad or similar item between the motors.
