Kit Contents and System Requirements
This section lists the contents of your kit and the system requirements for successfully installing and using your
expander card.

2.2
System Requirements
–
An Intel®
RAID Controller or Storage Controller with support for SAS drives (see the Supported Hardware section
below)
–
An Intel approved chassis or compatible with room for the storage expander card installation (the card has a non-
standard mid plane form factor, see section 3.5 Board dimensions). See the Supported Hardware section below
–
One available RA 4-pin power connector
–
SAS or SATA hard drives or SSD allowing bandwidths up to 12 Gb/s
Note:
The Intel® SAS Expander RES3TV360 doesn’t work with any SATA controllers
