To create a port-based VLAN
1
Select Configure VLAN from the Main Menu.
Note: Make sure the switch’s current VLAN operation mode is set
to port-based VLAN. If another type of VLAN is running, refer to
“Configure VLAN Operation Mode” in Chapter 5 to change the
VLAN operation mode.

Select Add a Port-based VLAN and press

.

Type a name for the new VLAN and press
e
.

Select the switch whose ports you want to be members of the
VLAN, using the
z
to toggle between switches.

Select ports to add to the VLAN by using the
z
to toggle the
Member field to Yes.

Select the APPLY button and press

.
Edit/Delete a Port-based VLAN
Description
Action: Delete a VLAN or change its port membership. Press the
z
to toggle Edit or Delete and then use the
T
or
S
keys to
select a VLAN and press
e
. The DEFAULT_VLAN cannot be
deleted from the switch.
VLAN Name: The names of existing port-based VLANs.
Ports: Total number of member ports in the specified VLAN.
NOTE
Ports from any switch in the
stack can be members of the
VLAN; follow this procedure to
add ports from each switch, on
switch at a time.
