Supplementary information : If you need to dump the vmcore file to another
destination, configure as follows.

To store the dump to another disk directory, you need to add the type of the
file system in front of the storage device where the file is located.
For example:
ext4 /dev/sda1
path=/usr/local/crash
or
ext4 UUID=xxxxxx
path=/usr/local/crash
The vmcore file will be stored in the /usr/local/crash directory of /dev/sda1
rather than the default location /var/crash .

To store the dump to a remote machine using the NFS protocol:
net *<nfs server>:</nfs/mount>*
For example: net nfs.example.com:/export/vmcores

To store the dump to a remote machine using the SSH protocol:
net *<user>@<ssh server>*
For example: net root@ssh.example.com
Execute the following command to obtain the write permission on the target
machine during the first SSH connection:
RHEL 6: #service kdump propagate
RHEL 7/RHEL 8: #kdumpctl propagate
3. Configure the condition(s) for triggering the kdump process by editing
/etc/sysctl.conf .
# vim /etc/sysctl.conf
