Chapter Four SATA RAID Setting

Disks:
To select hard disks to make RAID volume, select this option and press
Enter, system enters hard disk select interface, please use Space to select hard disks
accordingly to make RAID volume, and then press enter to return to volume create
menu.
Strip Size:
Please select volume size, this option is only available on RAID0 and
RAID5 volumes.
Capacity:
Please set volume capacity, which is the maximum capacity by default.
After the above settings are done, please select

Create Volume
】
, and press
Enter, system prompts: “WARNING:ALL DATA ON THE SELECTED DISKS WILL
BE LOST. Are you sure you want to create this volume ?(Y/N):”.
To create RAID volume, please enter “Y”, volume will be created, meanwhile,
data on the selected hard disk will all lose.
Otherwise, please enter “N”, to exit volume create.
Here we enter “Y”, to create an RAID volume, after creation is done, system
returns to SATA HostRAI configuration interface, and displays the created RAID
volume in RAID volume list.
II. Delete RAID Volume Menu
After entering SATA HostRAID configuration interface, we could use Up and
Down arrow buttons to select this menu, and then press

to delete RAID
volume menu.
System prompts: “Deleting a volume will reset the disks to non-RAID.
Warning:ALL DISKS DATA WILL BE DELETED.”.
To delete RAID volume, please press
【
DEL
】
, system prompts: “ALL DATA IN
THE VOLUME WILL BE LOST! Are you sure you want to delete “Volume*”?(Y/N):”
again, to delete this RAID volume, please enter “Y”, to cancel the deletion of RAID
volume, please enter “N”.
III. Reset Disks to Non-RAID Menu
After entering SATA HostRAID con

guration interface, users could use Up and
Down arrow buttons to select this menu, and then press

to enter this menu.
System will display all hard disks in RAID volume, please select hard disks to
be reset using Space according to actual needs, and then press Enter to reset these
hard disks, system prompts whether you want to reset hard disk, input “Y” or “N”
according to prompt. Note, during hard disk reset, all data on the hard disk will be lost,
