Chapter Four SATA RAID Setting
There’re 4 executable menus in this SATA con

guration interface as follows:

Create RAID Volume
Create RAID volume.
●
Delete RAID Volume
Delete existed RAID volume.
●
Reset Disks to Non-RAID
Reset hard disks in RAID volume, and restore to non-RAID status.
●
Exit
Exit SATA HostRAID con

guration interface.
I. Create RAID Volume Menu
After entering SATA HostRAID con
fi
guration interface, use Up and Down arrow
buttons to select this menu, and press
【
Enter

to enter RAID volume menu.
System displays the following menu options:
Name:
Please enter a volume name not exceeding 16 characters without special
characters.
RAID Level:
Please select RAID volume level, if there’s no volume created
at present, there’re four volume levels of RAID0(Stripe), RAID1

RAID10(RAID0+1) and RAID5
【
Parity
】
for selection, please select volume level
according to actual needs.
RAID0: It is allowed to use 2 or more hard disks to make this RAID volume.
RAID1: It is allowed to use 2 hard disks to make this RAID volume.
RAID10: It is allowed to use 4 hard disks to make this RAID volume, this option
is only available when the number of hard disks is 4 or above.
RAID5(Parity): It is allowed to use 3 or more hard disks to make this RAID
