«Zoom»
. In this mode video is proportionally enlarged along both coordinates by a
definite factor relative to the size set by the video output mode. This results in cutting
the picture, i.e. the edges of the picture extend beyond the visible zone of the screen
(as shown below by grey color and dotted line).

«Optimal»
. This mode is intermediate between the “Zoom” and “Fit on” modes, which
means that video is in proportion but at the same time it is scaled in such manner that
vertical fields can be cut off, while horizontal ones can be added and vice versa
depending on the correspondence between video content and video output formats.
