channel setting interface, as shown in Figure 5-19.
Users can make basic settings of selected channels, including
privacy mask, contrast ratio, brightness, hue, saturation, channel
name and OSD information.
5.5.8 Bi-directional Audio Talk-back
Bi-directional Audio Talkback is used for audio communications
between the PC running the client software and the DVR. Connect
a microphone and a sound box to the PC; connect a microphone to
the DVR Line in dialog box and a sound box to DVR Audio out
dialog box.
Setting of the sound card properties is required prior to talkback,
the detail steps as follows:
1. Double click the speaker icon to pop up the dialog box as shown
in the following figure:

2. Click "Properties" in the "Options" menu to display the dialog
box in the following figure:

3. Click "" on "Playback" in the "Adjust Volume for"; click "OK"
to return the volume control dialog box in the following figure:

4. In the dialog box shown above, click "" on "mute" item under
the microphone and line in, then click "Properties" in the "Options"
menu to return the properties dialog box, select "" on "Recording"
in the list of "Adjust volume for", then select "" on "Microphone"
in the list of "Show the following volume controls", as shown in the
following figure:

5. Click "OK" to return the recording dialog box, shown in the
following figure:

6. Adjust the volume of microphone as shown in above figure, and
the setting of the sound card properties for PC is completed.
After setting the talk-back service IP in Local Setting, add the
server to the client and login the server. Click
button to
perform the function of talk-back between the client and the server.
A second click on
button will close the talk-back function.
