Functional description
For a typical double-pulse testing
shows the proper configuration with this hardware. The 5 V power
supply provides the circuit power which also powers the IPS logic section and the isolated gate driver power
supply. A 0-400 V power supply provides the DC bus voltage and the input PWM signal is provided by a lab pulse
generator. A test inductor is needed to connect from the DC bus to the switch-node output. An oscilloscope is
used to observe and measure the inductor current (with a current probe), switch-node voltage or any other
signal on the hardware board.

). In this case the high-side is the active
switch, and the low-side is the freewheeling synchronous rectifier.
