From the outside of the tool panel cover, insert the Converter input connector
into the D-shaped hole in the panel. (See
Figure 1-7 .)

From the inside of the tool panel cover, secure the Converter to the panel:

If the tool panel cover thickness is not greater than 3.55 mm (0.140 in.)
install the grounding washer and the connector nut clockwise onto the
Converter input connector. (See
Figure 1-7 .)
 If the tool panel cover thickness is greater than 3.55 mm (0.140 in.), but not
greater than
4.11 mm (0.162 in.), install the connector nut onto the
Converter input connector without the grounding washer. (See Figure 1-7 .)
CAUTION
If the tool panel cover thickness is greater than 3.55 mm
(0.140 in.), but is not greater than 4.11 mm (0.162 in.),
install the connector nut without using the grounding
washer; otherwise, the integrity of the electrical
connection between the Converter and Detector
Assembly cannot be guaranteed.

Tighten the connector nut securely using a 27 mm open-end wrench, ensuring
a good RF ground between the tool panel cover and the Converter.
CAUTION
Signal level fluctuations may occur if the connector nut
is not properly tightened.
