Audio mixer

These brief instructions give a quick overview of 
how to use the audio mixer . They are intended 
for users with basic knowledge of audio tech-
nology . Please read these instructions carefully 
prior to operating the unit and keep them for 
later reference .

1  Applications

This mixer can be used in many ways to mix 
audio signals (microphones, instruments, units 
with line level) . The sum signal is output via the 
output jacks M L, M R (6), and the USB port (27) . 
The USB port is also used as an input for audio 
data when the mixer is connected to a com-
puter and for the integrated audio player to re-
play MP3, WAV and WMA files from a USB flash 
drive . In addition, the audio player is equipped 
with a Bluetooth module .

2  Safety Notes

The mixer corresponds to all relevant directives 
of the EU and is therefore marked with   .

WARNING

The unit uses dangerous mains 
voltage . Leave servicing to skilled 
personnel; inexpert handling 
may result in electric shock .

• 

The unit is suitable for indoor use only . Pro-
tect it against dripping water, splash water 
and high air humidity . The admissible ambient 
temperature  range  is  0 – 40 °C .

• 

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on 
the unit, e . g . a drinking glass .

• 

Immediately disconnect the unit from the 
mains socket,
1 . if the unit or the mains cable is visibly dam-

aged,

2 . if a defect might have occurred after the 

unit was dropped or suffered a similar ac-
cident,

3 . if malfunctions occur .
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled 
personnel .

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never 
use water or chemicals .

• 

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liabil-
ity for any resulting personal damage or mate-
rial damage will be accepted if the unit is used 
for other purposes than originally intended, 
if it is not correctly connected or operated, 
or if it is not repaired in an expert way . Like-
wise, no liability will be accepted for data loss 
caused by a defect or operating errors and for 
any consequential damage of this data loss .

If the unit is to be put out of operation 
definitively, take it to a local recycling 
plant for a disposal which is not harm-
ful to the environment .

2.1 Conformity and approval

Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL de-
clare that the Bluetooth module in the units 
MXR-40PRO, MXR-60PRO, MXR-80PRO and 
MXR-120PRO complies with the directive 
2014 / 5 3 / EU .  The  EU  declarations  of  conformity 
are available on the Internet:

The Bluetooth module is generally approved 
for operation in EU and EFTA countries; it is  
licence-free and requires no registration .

3  Overview

The mains jack 230 V~ / 50 Hz for connection to 
a mains socket and the POWER switch are lo-
cated on the rear side of the unit .

Combined input jack MIC / LINE for micro-
phones (XLR jack) and audio sources with 
line level (6 .3 mm jack)

Input LINE (6 .3 mm jacks) of the stereo chan-
nel for units with line level 

 

When connecting a mono unit, only use the 
jack L / MONO . Thus, the signal will internally 
be routed to the right channel and the left 
channel .

Output AUX for the send way AUX

Input RETURN to connect the output of an  
effect unit or of an additional Line audio 
source; use the control RET (18) to add the 
input signal to the sum signal

Jack H . P . (headphones) for headphones

Stereo outputs M L, M R (6 .3 mm jacks) for 
the sum signal
