2 Safety Notes
The standing base and the plug-in power
supply unit correspond to the directive for
electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The plug-in power supply unit additionally
corresponds to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
The power supply unit uses lethal mains
voltage (230 V~). In order to prevent a
shock hazard, do not open it. Leave serv-
icing to authorized, skilled personnel only.
Furthermore, any guarantee claim expires
if the power supply unit or the standing
base has been opened.
It is necessary to observe the following items:
●
The standing base and the power supply
unit are only suitable for indoor use. Pro-
tect them against humidity and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range
0 – 40 °C).
●
Even if the lamp is dimmed completely
dark, the power supply unit connected to
the mains has a low current consumption.
●
Do not set the lamp into operation, and
immediately disconnect the power supply
unit from the mains socket if:
1. damage can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a
drop or similar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
In any case the lamp, the standing base,
and the power supply unit must be re-
paired by authorized, skilled personnel.
●
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth. Do
not use any chemicals or water.
●
If the standing base or the power supply
unit is used for purposes other than orig-
inally intended, if they are operated in the
wrong way or not repaired by authorized,
skilled personnel, there is no liability for
possible damage.
●
If the standing base and the power supply
unit are to be put out of operation defini-
tively, they must be disposed of in a local
recycling plant.
3 Applications
The GNL-25 serves as a standing base and
for the power supply of gooseneck lamps
with a BNC plug-in connection and a 12 V
bulb of max. 5 W. The lamps GNL-200 and
GNL-205 of the “img Stage Line” range are
suitable for this purpose.
4 Setting into Operation
1) Slide the standing base (4) in the support
(7) or in the supporting rail (8) which has
been fixed with screws before.
2) Place the gooseneck lamp onto the BNC
jack (3).
3) Connect the plug (6) of the standing base
to the inline jack (5) of the power supply
unit (1). Observe the correct polarity (see
circle of the fig. on page 3). In case of
wrong polarity the lamp remains dark.
4) Connect the power supply unit (1) to a
socket (230 V~/50 Hz), and adjust the
desired brightness with the rotary knob
(2). Align the gooseneck.
5) If the lamp is not used for a longer period
of time, disconnect the power supply unit
from the mains socket because it always
has a low current consumption.
